Unclaimed Property Each year, businesses and government agencies, also known as “holders,” report millions of dollars to the state. The Arkansas Auditor of State is statutorily obliged to return unclaimed property to its rightful owners or heirs. We do this through a program called the Great Arkansas Treasure Hunt.

Great Arkansas Treasure Hunt Underway - Talk Business & Politics
State Auditor Charlie Daniels (D) kicked off the Great Arkansas Treasure Hunt, the annual effort to reunite nearly 58,000 Arkansans with abandoned cash, stocks, bonds, jewelry and other assets. The items come to Daniels’ office through Arkansas’ Unclaimed Property Program. Unclaimed property reported to the State Auditor’s office for 2011 totals $22.8 million, with an additional $150 million from previous years still waiting to be found.

Keeping Families in their Homes Treasury’s Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA) programs have collectively provided communities over $46 billion to support housing stability for eligible renters throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Participating governments have leveraged ERA funding to make over 10 million assistance payments to renters facing eviction, and research has shown that ERA assistance has supported low-income renters and renters of color.
